ALTERED EXHIBITION

ALTERED is a pop-up exhibition showcasing work by emerging visual artists, celebrating local talent. Artists were invited, through an open call, to share ways in which they have experimented, modified or adapted their practices during lockdown restrictions. With little or no access to the usual studio, darkroom or workshop, each has evolved new ways of making work.

Making use of a closed shop inside Brighton’s Churchill Square shopping centre, and as part of the Artists Open Houses festival, this show is made in recognition of the difficulties that the pandemic has brought to exhibition-making for those at the start of their creative practices.

Open every weekend, 5 – 27 June

Big congratulations to the selected artists
